Description: Students choose from a field of four and drag the missing letter to the spot where it belongs in the alphabet. NOTE: q and u are shown together and vowels are shown as two letters, representing long and short sounds. Scaffolding suggestions: Direct students to place their hands on their head and sing the alphabet song. When they get to the "yellow square letter" lower their hands and move the letter into its spot. Before beginning each page, have students name the letters in the field of four and identify each as a "beginning", "middle" or "end" of the alphabet letter before considering which choices would make the most sense. ©2021courtneyheigele
