Description: This /s/ articulation "Escape Room" Boom Deck is an entertaining way for students to read s-filled dialog, and to find /s/ words in all positions. It's a perfect carry-over activity for readers from middle school to high school. This can also be assigned for homework. The storyline: Two friends, Serena and Sophia are shopping at the mall. They enlist the help of their friends, Steve and Russel to help them find their missing shopping bag from Smitty's Store. Students must read the s-filled dialog, find the hidden items containing /s/ on each slide, and solve the mystery before going home. This is not grade-leveled but is appropriate for middle school and older readers.
