Description: Focus on beginner melody playback skills with this FREE ear-training game! The jelly bean on the keys shows which black key in a group of 2 to begin with. Students click the large sound button to hear the melody fragment, then play back what they hear on their piano. They may listen and play as many times as they wish. When they are satisfied that they have copied the sound, they will click the Next button to advance to the next card. BONUS: on-screen black keys are pitch buttons so this game can also be played away from the piano. Great for preschoolers and new beginners, even those who may not know their right/left hands or be fully confident with finger numbers. All melodies use 2nds and repeats on a group of 2 black keys. NOTE: this deck is not self-marking. It is recommended that the student play this game the first time with a practice partner/parent who can help them listen for a successful playback before moving to the next card. Audio instructions are included in the upper left corner of each card, and play automatically for the first two cards. The remaining 5 cards are randomized to provide a fresh and unpredictable game each time. Alt-text and tab order are provided for sounds and images, and buttons are large to suit little fingers. Ideal for use in group or private lessons. Works great for online lessons, too!
