Description: This basketball-themed deck drills interval sizes from unison up to an octave AND reviews note identification. Students read the interval, select the corresponding notes on the keyboard graphic, then choose the correct interval size and shoot that ball into the basket. The bonus step of visualizing on the keyboard promotes fluent note recognition during the elementary stage of learning. Intervals are presented in both harmonic and melodic forms, with a variety of note values. One teaching card explains the concept at the start of each round, and one demonstration card shows how to answer the questions. The following 18 randomized cards allow students to play a different game every time. Cards have both written and audio instructions and are optimized for visual and audio accessibility. The drag and drop components may make this deck unsuitable for students needing motor accommodations. Correlates with RCM Level 1 (Royal Conservatory of Music.) This is not a product of RCM, but provides extra practice for concepts covered in the Level 1 Celebrate Theory workbook. Great for online or in-person piano lessons, theory classes, exam preparation, music classes, music lab, take-home activities, homeschooling, and device-based learning.
