Description: Boom Cards are a great way to practice and use core vocabulary words. This deck is perfect for students working on AAC, learning core vocabulary, prepositions, early comprehension questions, building receptive vocabulary and young ELL students. Core Word NEED features 30 slides with simple white backgrounds to avoid distraction and reduce cognitive load. How to play: Touch and model the word MAKE on the first two cards. I included a literacy component on card 3 where student matches the correct word to each part of the bear. Cards 4 through 25 provide lots of repetition for the core word NEED. Student follows directions dragging each part to the bear, building three different colored bears: brown, grey and white. Cards 26-29 allow students to see their finished three bears all together and to give them each a little something to where while practicing NEEDS. As always make this activity as much fun as you can. It’s a great opportunity to give the bears funny voices or names and to talk about other teddy bears. Core Vocabulary: It's not just for labeling.
