Description: This is a preview of one of my favorite games, The Work Zone Area! It is an open ended game that can be used by itself to develop/practice turn taking skills or in conjunction with your own resources as a simple reinforcement activity. This resource offers 1 of 8 variations of the layouts contained in the full resource. Students of ALL ages love the surprise element of this game yet it is SIMPLE enough to use with your early learners. If your students like it, don't forget to check out the full version! Player 1 says their speech targets and picks a pylon to see if there is a car under it. If there is, they drag and drop it to the box labeled Player 1 and their turn ends. If there isn’t, it is Player 2’s turn. Player 2 says their speech targets and picks a pylon to see if there is a car under it. If there is, Player 2 drags and drops it to the box labeled Player 2 and their turn ends. If there isn’t, it is Player 1’s turn. Pylons can be discarded by swiping them off the left or right side of the page. Play continues until all the pylons are gone. Player with the most cars wins! Your students will love this engaging activity! As always, happy learning!
