Description: This is a coin counting deck focusing solely on pennies and nickels. The coin totals from 1 cent to 25 cents. The student is presented with a blue mat with various pennies and/or nickels and three amount choices. The student must select the amount that matches the coins represented (e.g., 3 pennies = 3¢ . When the correct coin amount is selected the card automatically flips to the next card. Each penny and nickel can be moved around on each card if this benefits the student to group and count the coins. This is a nice activity which can be used for individual or group lessons and can also be used as exit tickets. Happy Winter!
