These 20 task cards cover the nonfiction reading standards taught throughout the year. The categories include vocabulary, main idea & details, cause & effect, inferencing, and text features comprehension questions. All the questions are multiple choice with 4 options. The 4 red backgrounds are all vocabulary questions. The 4 green backgrounds are all main idea & details questions. The 4 blue backgrounds are all cause & effect questions. The 4 yellow backgrounds are all inferencing questions. The 4 purple are all text feature questions. There are 6 different passages: 2 biography and 4 expository. These cards are aligned to the TEKS but can be used with any standards.
