Students are first asked "what do you see" and given 2 visual choices of objects from the book "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie." After, students are asked "what color" and given 2 visual choices of colors. Lastly, students are asked to form the sentence. Students are given a visual sentence starter (e.g. the ___ is ___). Students are given 2 visual choices of nouns and 2 visual choices of colors. Students are asked to drag and drop the correct noun and adjective into the sentence starter. This helps students form sentences such as "the pen is blue" or "the cookie is brown."
