Description: A fun rhythm activity for kids who are familiar with quarter notes, quarter rests, paired eighth notes, barred sixteenth notes (ta, rest, titi, tikatika). Students will hear the rhythm automatically but can click the speaker icon to hear it again. The first does not have audio. 4 beats from a metronome are heard before the rhythm is played on a percussion instrument. The metronome continues while the rhythm is played - this allows students to recognize if there's a rest. A pie is placed where the missing beat is in the written out rhythms. Students listen for what note/rest happens during that beat and clicks on it in the option square.
