Description
Students often struggle with adding and estimating sums because the estimating process is hard for them. These cards start with a reminder of how to round to the nearest hundred (8 cards). Then students practice rounding each addend to the nearest hundred and then adding the addends to find the sum (8 cards). Then four cards have students decide whether the estimate that is given is reasonable or not. Finally, students practice rounding the addends, finding the estimated sum, and then finding the exact sum (12 cards). All cards include three-digit numbers. 32 cards total.
