Description: Drag the Flashlight around the scene to find the pictures which have a ‘s’ sound in their name. Each card has at least one ‘s’ word in the scene, and some cards have 2-5 ‘s’ words to find. There are three different sections for words with: - ‘s’ at the beginning (11 cards). Vocabulary: sun, suitcase, sandals, sunglasses, suncream/lotion, sea, sand, sandcastle, sunbathing, sailing boat, socks, sword, sink, soap, suds, sandwiches, scissors, seal, seagull, sofa, sitting, sign, santa, sack, seahorse, submarine, - ‘s’ in the middle (10 cards). Vocabulary: dinosaur, sausages, dancing/ballet dancer, police car, police officer, recycling bin, glasses, bicycle, castle, see-saw, icicle, iceberg, - ‘s’ at the end (11 cards). Vocabulary: mouse, house, dress, horse, moose, octopus, seahorse, palace, princess, prince, bus, nurse, ambulance, bookcase, juice, tomatoes, magnifying glass, dice, goose. There is a card at the end of each section with moving images to show the student that they have finished the section. You can encourage the child to say the individual word, or try the word in a phrase or sentence to improve their production skills, e.g. say where the item is., use a carrier phrase 'i found the...', etc.
