Description: First decide which sound you are going to practice. Then, choose one of the options below that sound (Build a Snowman, Gingerbread House, Play Scene, or Mitten Matching). You will be brought to a "sledding" page to practice your targeted speech sound. When finished, click "next" to do the activity you initially chose. ENJOY!!! I created the /p/, /t/, /k/ visuals to help my students who struggle with producing final sounds in words. The specially designed visuals help students cue themselves, rather than relying on support for me. When they begin to rely less on SLP support, they can begin to make more progress towards accurate independent productions. There are 10 final /p/, /t/ and /k/ cards each. **The P visual was created to represent the “popping sound” that the /p/ makes. I tell students that we need to “pop” our lips for /p/. The circles are like bubbles and the star burst is like the popping air from our lips. **The T visual was created to represent the “tapping sound” that the /t/ makes. I tell students that we need to “tap” our tongues for /t/. The lines going up represent the the quiet burst of air from our tongues tapping the top of our mouths. **The K visual was created to represent the “air burst sound” that the /k/ makes at the back of our mouths. The lines going out from the middle of the /k/ represent the the quiet burst of air from the back of our tongues tapping the back of our mouths.
