Description: Commutative Property of Addition Balancing Equations Game! Fun practice to learn or review the commutative property of addition by dragging the 2 equal equations onto the scale to show that they are equal! This deck has 15 cards for A LOT of addition practice! Each card has a scale and 4 addition facts to add to choose from. Kids drag the 2 that are equal onto the scale to balance them. :) All sums are to 10. Once they finish this deck, I also have a Balancing Equations Addition to 10 set that is more challenging since it is any equation to 10 (5+2 and 3+4 could be equal, for example) and is the perfect next activity after this one. This is also a great way to introduce balancing equations since the commutative property is much easier to start with (since it is matching 2+5 and 5+2 instead of 5+2 and 3+4, for example) or to use with kids who you want to give a little extra practice. I tried to design these to have bright and colorful backgrounds to look fun but still simple enough for young learners to not get distracted. I hope you love this activity!
