Description
This interactive no-prep activity is an engaging way to help your students build a variety of receptive and expressive language skills. This activity contains animated action verbs (GIFS) and visual sentence strips. Students are able to build Frankenstein by following 1-step directions with different body parts and clothing items. After, the student puts the correct body part of clothing item on Frankenstein, there will be an action verb. On the next slide, students are able to answer WH questions, label the correct verb and increase MLU with the core word LIKE. This activity includes: - 22 Verbs - Singing, Cooking, Sleeping, Kicking, Swinging, Eating, Swimming, Painting, Hiding, Bouncing, Standing Up, Throwing, Playing, Coloring, Climbing Stairs, Climbing Ladder, Drinking, Running, Jumping rope, Laughing, Dancing, Jumping & Walking - 9 Different Body parts & clothing items- Eyes, Nose, Mouth, Arm, Feet, Hair, Shirt, Pants & Shoes - 8 Different Colors - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black & brown The following IEP goals can be targeted during the activity: - Expanding Utterances & Increasing MLU - Following 1-step directions - Pragmatics (e.g. commenting) - Core Word LIKE - Answering WH Questions - Labeling Verbs - Identifying & Labeling Body Parts & Clothing
