A great open-ended speech and language activity for preschoolers and young children! Ideas for language targets: 2-4 word combinations (all better, on tummy, put on, eat cookie, cat crying, etc.), early 2-3 word semantic relationships (ex: put band-aid on, put on, band-aid on, on tummy, boo-boo on tummy, happy turtle, eat cookie), early grammar (-ing verb ending, "on", pronouns), and WH questions with visual (who is sad? where is her boo-boo? what do we put on the boo-boo?, etc.). For speech, early consonant-vowel combinations can be targeted throughout the activity. Examples below: CVCV: boo-boo, tummy, cookie, happy, better, turtle, monkey VC: on, eat CV: hi, bye (greet the animals) CVC: sad, cat, bird, put, hurt
