Description: Students must solve 5 different tasks to discover who has hidden Thanksgiving dinner! Each task involves a mystery picture which, upon solving the questions, a clue is revealed. Each clue helps students eliminate one suspect and then they get the password to unlock the next clue. For accountability purposes you can have students write down all of the 5 passwords and the name of the culprit to turn in to you to make sure they have completed the whole breakout room. This is also a good idea so students can complete the activity in multiple sessions without having to restart. The first task has students solving multiplicative comparisons and choosing the correct multiple choice answer ex. "2 times as many as 5 is...". The second task has students looking at three numbers and then solving the pattern to type in the next three multiples. The third task requires students to read numbers written in expanded form and word form and then type the number in standard form. The fourth task focuses on adding and subtracting three digit numbers with regrouping. The fifth and final task asks students to round four digit numbers to the nearest ten, hundred, and thousand. Some tasks are multiple choice and others require students to type in the answer for an additional challenge. This is perfect for reviewing fourth grade math standards during the Thanksgiving holiday season! Aligned with Common Core State Standards: 4.NBT.A.2, 4.NBT.A.3, 4.NBT.B.4, 4.OA.A.1, 4.OA.B.4, 4.OA.C.5
