Description: There are 20 cards in total which relates place value using base ten blocks – 11 to 29. There are two decks of cards. A mystery picture is uncovered after each set is played. Students work out the number the base ten blocks represent and then select the correct standard number on one of the puzzle pieces. When a correct answer is tapped or clicked, part of the picture is revealed, and the deck advances to the next card. If the answer is incorrect, a whoops sound is heard, and a red circle appears. Students can easily self-correct by reselecting their answers. Optional: When you assign the cards to your students, you can turn off the sounds. The fun part of the game is when a mystery picture is revealed. Cards 1 to 10: 2-digit numbers from 11 to 20 Cards 11 to 20: 2-digit numbers from 21 - 29 The benefits of this game are: • Review place value of 2-digit numbers using base ten blocks • Independent learning and self-correction • Students remain engaged as each part of the picture puzzle is revealed.
