Description: This activity was designed to encourage students to expand their mean length of utterance with visual supports and motivating puzzle pieces. Pictures are simple and depict people engaging in various actions involving sports (e.g., throwing, catching, running & swimming). The repetitive nature and predictability of this task are ideal for students with autism or students with limited verbal skills. The adult is encouraged to modify the language to meet the needs and level of the child (e.g., "boy catching ball" vs. "The boy is catching the ball"). Animals are incorporated into this task for students that struggle with boy/girl confusion.
