Description: Introduce your students to right angle Trigonometry with this introduction to the sine ratio mini lesson. Students will work through a series of questions determining that the ratios of triangles with the same perspective angle are equal. As the activity progresses students will be asked to find the missing side length and missing angle of triangles using the sine ratio opposite/hypotenuse. Students will round side lengths to 1 decimal and angles to the nearest whole number. Remind students to put their calculator in DEG mode. PRODUCT INCLUDES: 22 slides total Slide 1-7: sine ratio of 45 degree triangles where every other slide is a Pythagorean theorem question to obtain the missing side length. Slide 8-9: Consolidation questions about the ratios of 45 degree triangles 10-13: sine ratios of 30 degree triangles slide 14: formula slide 15-16: use sine ratio to calculate missing "opposite" side slide 17-18: use sine ratio to calculate the missing "hypotenuse" side slide 19-21: calculate the missing angle using the inverse sine ratio slide 17: Way to go!
