Description: Build a solid understanding of root position tonic and dominant chords/triads in major and minor keys. This is part 1 of a series and covers keys up to two flats or sharps. Students will learn how to identify the Root, 3rd and 5th of a chord, and will identify the major or minor keys of tonic and dominant triads as shown on the keyboard. Major keys include C, G, D, F, and B flat. Minor keys include Am, Em, Bm, Dm, and Gm. This series covers material used in Royal Conservatory (RCM) Celebrate Theory Level 3. (This is a supplement to RCM studies, and not a product of RCM.) Audio and written instructions are included throughout the deck. All questions are multiple choice and have been optimized for visual, audio, and motor accessibility (tab navigation available.)
