Description
This 28-card scavenger hunt will teach your students interesting facts about the planet Venus. While completing the hunt, students will learn why Venus and Earth and are considered "twins", what the environment on Venus is like, how Venus got its name, and more. To complete the hunt, students answer 13 true/false statements. To determine whether a statement is true or false, they read a passage that will give them the answer. If they choose the correct answer, they will advance to the next statement. If they choose the wrong answer, they can return to the passage to see what they missed. As students progress through the scavenger hunt a picture of Venus, Earth, and Earth's moon is revealed. The final card in the deck requires students to write 3 interesting things they learned about Venus. It can be used to supplement a study of the solar system, a science activity, to build background for a reading lesson, practice for reading informational text, a center, or as an easy lesson for a sub.
