These cards support the Words Their Way Spelling Program sorts. This deck supports the Blue Book, Word Sorts for Derivational Relations Spellers 3rd Edition. It covers learning and practicing the rules, building the word using affixes and basewords and looking for spelling patterns. This deck covers Vowel Alternation: Long to Short, Sort 17 Cards include fill in the blank and drag and drop. I've created this deck to help support my upper spelling group and use it in conjunction with a digital spelling notebook. Students write the word, break it down into the syllables or base/affix, and sort them into the rules/patterns.
