Action Words

Description: This activity targets 12 different actions words. On each page, you can also target an additional action word: open.  You can have your student request for the door to "open." Behind each door is a surprise character performing a different action. Have the student describe what they see. Depending on the student's goals, responses can vary in complexity. (e.g., "running" or "the boy is running" or "I see a boy wearing a green shirt. He is running very fast"). This is a great way to expand children's vocabularies, work on word combinations, and target turn taking, requesting and commenting.
