Description: Understand the Situation Cards To make good choices, we have to understand what is happening or what the situation is. Some examples could be: Do you and a friend each want the same toy? Did a friend knock your building down? Do you not understand what you are supposed to do? Are you walking in the hall or on the street? The choices we make will be different depending on the situation. Each card will have a picture of a different situations. Use the images of these different situations to ask the kids what they are and what the problem is if there is one. It's ok if kids see the situation differently. Some ideas are included, but there are many more. If the kids see the situation differently, explain why it's so important to use your words and not yell, hit, push or run away. By using words, your friends will understand what you want and are thinking.
