Description: These high-contrast visual scanning activities contain weather-themed GIFs on each slide. This activity is designed for students with Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI), students in early intervention, and special education students. Research shows that students with CVI respond well to high contrast, bright colors, and movement. What's included? -Weather-themed Visual Scanning Activities (2 versions) -large weather conditions -small weather conditions These visual-scanning activities utilize bright-colored GIFs on a black background. With the exception of the first and last page, this digital book DOES NOT HAVE words. These are created for students in phase 1 and phase 2, however, students in phase 3 can still benefit from them. For students on the lower range of the CVI assessment, words or multiple images on a page can be visually overwhelming. In addition, students on the lower range of the CVI assessment can benefit immensely from movement. For this reason, this activity contains only GIFs on the pages. For the large weather conditions, the GIFs are located in the center of the page. For the small weather conditions, the GIFs are located in different locations on each slide, requiring the students to scan.
