Description: A visual deck to help kids with special needs including Autism identify emotions and feelings from visual cues. Students are presented with an image of a person and must choose between 2 options to state what emotion the person is feeling. Realistic images instead of illustrations make the process more authentic and help hone social and interpretive skills. This deck assumes the student can read or is working with an adult caregiver or professional who can help interpret the images. If you need a deck for non readers, I have one available with icons instead of words. Emotions include: happy, sad, mad, scared, friends, strangers, laughing angry, silly, nervous, frustrated, bored and more. I have two kids with autism and decks like this one help them learn more about reading emotions and making friends. I hope this helps your students or family as well.
