Description: Valentine's Day Expanding Utterances activity. Students will practice building sentences & identifying Valentine's Day themed verbs while answering "what doing" questions. Students are asked the question "what is he/ she doing?" at the top of each card. Beneath the question, students are presented with an image of a child performing a Valentine's themed verb. Students must complete the "He/she is......" sentence strip at the bottom of the card by dragging the correct verb into the sentence strip. Students are given 2 verbs to choose from. All answer choices provided are written and have visual aids to help with comprehension. Verbs students will identify throughout this activity: decorating, giving, blushing, hugging, kissing, making, opening, eating, dancing, sharing, reading, holding, driving, hiding, mailing
