Description
This is an interactive, no-prep activity to help students practice SP - blends in the initial position of words. Students are able to identify the SP- blend in a field of 3 and feed it to the hungry cow. After, students are able to answer WH questions (e..g what did the cow eat), label SP-Blends and form sentences with the SP Blends. Visual sentence strips are provided on each slide (e..g the cow ate the __) to help students increase MLU. This activity is motivating as it contains a hungry animated cow (GIFs). The activity contains the following SP- Blend Words: - Spoon - Spinner - Space - Spell - Spy - Speed - Spatula - Spooky - Speech - Spare - Spray - Sprawl - Spices - Sparkle - Spike - Spill - Spinach - Spaghetti - Spud - Sports - Sponge - Sports Car - Spout - Spin - Spot - Spider The following IEP goals can be targeted during the activity: - Expanding Utterances & IncreasingMLU - SP Blends - Identifying common objects - Following Directions - WH questions (ask students "what did the cow eat, what do you see, etc.)
