Description: Leprechauns dancing on CVC words! This 48-card deck will help your students build reading fluency for CVC words while tapping into vocabulary knowledge within a fun St. Patrick's Day phonics activity. Each card displays the carrier sentence "The leprechaun is on the:" followed by 4 CVC word pictures and 4 CVC words in text. Students should locate the leprechaun and find the corresponding word given the four choices on the right side of the slide. The leprechaun jumps to a new picture on each slide. Students must read each of the four word choices closely before making their selection. There are (6) cards for each of the short vowels in isolation (a, i, o, u, e) and 18 cards with mixed CVC words. Navigate using the "home" button and arrow buttons.
