Description: Rhyming is a fun activity to work on vocabulary and phonemic awareness. This deck works with words with the beginning sounds C/K E H R M D. Students will find an image on each card starting with one of the target sounds. They will first read the word naming their picture. Next, they will type the word in the provided box. Last, they will find an image that rhymes with their picture. The non-rhyming words have the target sounds C/KEHRMD as beginning sounds. You can find simple CVC words but many words used in this deck are more complicated, containing blends, digraphs, vowel teams, long vowels, plural forms. For this reason, I recommend using this deck with students who already mastered the basic rhymes.
