This 25-card scavenger hunt can be used to review or teach students about the ancient culture of the mound builders. While completing the hunt, students will learn who the Mound Builders were, what kinds of mounds they built and why they built them, what happened to them, and more. To complete the hunt, students answer 12 multiple-choice questions. First, they read a question and its possible answers. Then they read the information that give them the answer. If they choose the correct answer, they are directed to the next question. If their answer is incorrect, they can reread the text to find the correct answer. They receive instant feedback on whether or not they chose the correct answer. The final card in the deck challenges students to write 3 interesting things they learned about the Inca. The hunt can be used to supplement a study of ancient cultures, to review Mound Builders communities, to practice f reading informational text, or as an easy activity for a sub.
