Description: This activity focuses on understanding the value of the Canadian nickel. Money amounts up to 20 cents are shown using nickels. Visual representations will aid the student to understand that 5 cents correspond to one nickel, 10 cents correspond to two nickels, etc. Furthermore, the student will follow directions to place a given money amount in a jar or piggy back (e.g., take two nickels to make 10 cents).
