This is a social emotional learning or social skills story to teach about common holiday traditions that friends celebrate around Christmas time. This 24-slide story teaches briefly and simply about 9 holidays celebrated December-January: Diwali, Saint Lucia Day, Las Posadas, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, La Befana, Boxing Day, Chinese New Year, and no special dates! I couldn’t add ALL the holidays around the world, of course, but I tried to add the ones I have had students celebrate in the United States, so I hope this will help other teachers! 💥This story does NOT include religious explanations. It is intended only for littles to understand that everyone may have different celebrations and traditions than themselves, and that’s great!
