These Boom Cards allow students to practice comparing fractions with the same denominator. Students will compare two fractions and select the bigger or smaller fraction or piece of donut. A picture is provided to assist as a model for beginners. It includes 1 instructional card and a total of 98 practice cards that a set of fractions can be chosen to work on, such as halves or thirds. 3.NF.A3 "Explain equivalence of fractions in special cases, and compare fractions by reasoning about their size."
