Description: Students with communication disorders struggle to understand figurative language. In fact, some researchers estimate that figurative language is used by adults 4 times per minute! Whatever the case, understanding figurative language is critical for students to understand what people say in conversation and what they read at school. Each figurative language expression has a picture and when the arrow is clicked, you advance to a page with the meaning of the expression and a phrase that is a literal interpretation of the expression. Click on the correct meaning and advance to a screen that says "You are right!" (FYI: you cannot go back to a previous slide even though many slides have a backward arrow embedded in the image)
