Description: Engage your students with this cookie-themed deck to review reading and writing CVC words. What you can expect: Your students will have five different activities to help them master these skills. Activities: 1. Sorting Cookies (five cards) Students are presented five cookies with CVC images on them. They have to sort these cookies into five cookie jars labeled with all five short vowels. Cookies are randomized. 2. Missing Middle Sound (ten cards) Students will drag and drop the missing sound to make the word shown on the cookie. Then they will type the word twice. 3. Cookie Tray Words (ten cards) All 10 cards have a word presented on a cookie tray (two for each short vowel). Students will read the word and find the matching picture out of four possible answers. Cookies are randomized. 4. Onset and Rime (five cards) Students are shown the onset and the rime of a word. They have to blend them to make their word. Once they have the word, they have to find the matching picture. Cookies are randomized. 5. Odd One Out (ten cards) The cards have four cookies with pictures on them. Three of the pictures have a short sound, and one of them has a long sound. Students have to find the cookie with the long sound. Cookies are randomized.
