You found your resource! Boom cards include: - Intro to colourful semantics: 2 cards explaining what it is and how to conduct it - Who + what doing + where (e.g. the boy is painting in the kitchen): 25 cards --> Boom cards include pictures for sentence development AND 3 picture options each for who, what doing and where. A sentence frame for who+whatdoing+where is also included. The pictures from each category can be dragged to the sentence frame. You can also type out the sentence in the box provided so that you can work on your STUDENT'S goals (eg past tense). TOTAL: 25 teachable cards. Colourful semantics is a treatment approach developed by Alison Bryan. Studies demonstrate that the colourful semantics approach is a useful approach when working with children (Bolderson, Dosanjh, Milligan, Pring & Chiat, 2011). Colourful semantics assist with children’s development of: - A wider vocabulary (e.g. nouns, verbs, adjectives, prepositions) - Grammatical markers (e.g. ‘ing’, ‘ed’) - Regular and irregular past tense verbs (e.g. swam, talked) - Articles or determiners (e.g. ‘the’, ‘is’, ‘was’, 'are') - Increasing sentence length - Answering WH-questions If you enjoyed this product, please leave a rating on my Boom learning (TM) or Teachers Pay Teachers store.
