Description: Little Bear is catching fish for a delicious lunch! Fun and challenging Subtraction Cross out practice, offering 5 different tasks to practice counting and building/recreating ALL parts of subtraction sentences! 50 audio supported cards to cover all subtraction problems within the 1-10 number range (only subtracting same number and zero are omitted as easier ones) Each set of tasks is prefaced by an introductory card giving the set up and explaining the instructions. All task descriptions come with audio support! 1. Cards 2-11. Cross out and Find the Difference. We introduce the "cross out strategy" by asking to drag the cross sign on as many fish as needed, then count how many fish are left and type in the answer. 2. Cards 13-22. Find the Subtrahend. Look at the given set up - some amount of fish has been eaten (they are crossed out) - count how many and type in the subtrahend part of the equation. 3. Cards 24-33. Find the Minuend. Count how many fish there are in all (including the crossed out ones). Fill in the gap. 4. Cards 35-40. Find the Minuend and the Subtrahend. Same set up - count and type in both: how many there are in all and how many have been eaten (with the cross sign on top) 5. Cards 46-50. Build the entire Subtraction sentence in the same set up. Fill in all the gaps. Hope you and your students enjoy using these cards!
