Overture Music Lessons

About me: Interactive music games and activities for beginner and intermediate students. Overture Music Lessons is a family music studio in the Greater Boston area specializing in flute, piano lessons for students of all ages and abilities. I like to think of myself as an educator first and a musician second. My degree in Elementary Education means I approach music lessons with the curiosity of a seasoned teacher. Over 40 credit hours of music theory, performance, and music ed classes means I'm fluent in multiple instruments, musical genres, and pedagogies. I am fortunate to have been in the music studio business for over 20 years! About 5 years ago, I began writing music, designing workbooks, and creating games online for the unique needs of my academically-diverse studio. Most of the games here started out as a tool to help a specific student or class! I my spare time, I enjoy knitting, art, and spending time with my husband and two girls. I always have some new score on my music stand, so that I never forget what it feels like to be the student learning something new and challenging.
