I Spy Something That Begins with...

Description: This is an 'I Spy' activity that targets beginning letter sounds. Each card has between 1-5 objects representing a specific letter of the alphabet. The student must find all the targeted objects and press submit when found. When all objects are found correctly, the page will flip to the next letter. If an object is incorrectly selected, the page will mark it as incorrect and the student is given an opportunity to try again. All letters in the alphabet are presented. The vowels are at the end of the deck. The first page is an alphabetical answer key of the words being targeted. The second page is a teachable card. The students should be encouraged to say the highlighted word on each card as they sound out whether each is the correct answer. This activity would be great as a group or individual lesson plan. It would also be fun for transitions or as simply a fun activity. Great vocabulary builder!
