This deck was created to support students with their self-help skills as they get ready for school in the morning. During the first half of the deck, students listen to the story that introduces the different tasks. The getting ready for school/morning routines are broken down into 12 tasks which include: * Waking up * Brushing teeth * Using the bathroom * Getting dressed * Eating breakfast * Combing hair * Packing backpack * Putting on shoes * Putting on jacket * Riding the bus * Saying hello to the teacher * Hanging up belongings The second half of the deck asks students to answer questions based on their comprehension of the first 13 cards (i.e., "Who is combing their hair?"). Students choose their answer from a field of two. Audio is provided on every card to support independent and repeated practice opportunities. This deck is suitable for early childhood educators, intervention specialists, speech therapists and parents. Getting Ready for School is a perfect addition to your Back to School lesson plans.
