Description: These cards support the Words Their Way Spelling Program sorts. This deck supports the Green Book, Word Sorts for Syllables and Affixes Spellers 3rd Edition. It covers learning and practicing the spelling rules, sorting the words into their homograph meanings, and identifying the correct meaning for the homograph in pictures and sentences. This deck covers Homograph Sort 57. I've created this deck to help support my 'just-below' spelling group who can be a bit hit and miss about identifying understanding the rule and who spend far too much time cutting and sorting the words. I use it in conjunction with a digital spelling notebook. Students write the word, break it down into sounds, and sort them into rules/patterns. Cards include fill in the blank and drag and drop and multiple choice. All instructions include the option of an audio button to read it to the student.
