Gay Miller

About me: <p>Gay Miller is an experienced and passionate educator specializing in teaching tools for upper elementary students.</p> <p>Gay Miller is the creator of Book Units Teacher, a website and blog that provides resources for language arts, math, science, social studies, and more. She has designed hundreds of novel studies, short stories, animated short lessons, and other activities that help students develop their reading, writing, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.</p> <p>Gay Miller is a lifelong learner who loves to explore new topics and share her knowledge with others. She enjoys reading, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family and pets. She lives in Blowing Rock, North Carolina.</p> <p>She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education for K-12 and a Master’s in Learning Disabilities from Appalachian State University. She has 34 years of teaching experience in upper elementary, many in inclusion settings. She has served as technology site coordinator and communications and technology chair for the local and  Tennessee State Organization of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. She has taught teachers, parents, and students how to use various digital tools and platforms.</p>
