Description: Students practice their listening skills ( recognizing numbers) and counting by tens in this activity. They click on the cash register to hear how much money they "owe", and then put the appropriate number of dimes on the counter next to the register and click submit to check their answer. Students need to be able to first recognize the number when they hear it, and then count by 10s to put the correct number of coins on the counter. Good for English language learners who need extra practice listening and recognizing numbers 10 through 90, or any students who need practice working on counting by 10s to reach a specific total. The amounts range from 10 cents to $1 (expressed as "one dollar" and not "100 cents",) and the cards will be presented in a different order every time the game is played. With 10 cards in the deck, all 10 are presented each round. I have both easier and harder decks in my store: using cents to count by ones, and counting coins and bills to total up to $14.99. There will be others in future: counting by 5s using nickels, and counting up to $1 using an assortment of coins. Check out the bundle "Listen and count" in my store for savings! This is a LISTENING activity that is not suitable for deaf students. I have other counting activities in my store that do not require listening. CCSS2.NBT.A.2 Skip-count by 10s,
