Description: Students practice their listening skills ( recognizing numbers) and counting by tens in this activity. They click on the cash register to hear how much money they "owe", and then put the appropriate number of coins on the counter next to the register and click submit to check their answer. Students need to be able to first recognize the number when they hear it, and then count by 10s to put the correct number of coins on the counter. Good for English language learners who need extra practice listening and recognizing numbers 10 through 90, or any students who need practice working on counting by 10s to reach a specific total. The amounts range from 10 cents to $1 (expressed as "one dollar" and not "100 cents",) and the cards will be presented in a different order every time the game is played. With 10 cards in the deck, all 10 are presented each round. I have other counting money decks in my store: counting by 5s to 50, and counting by 5s to 100.
