Pair this resource with the adorable storybook "The Little Blue Truck's Christmas by Alice Schertle. After reading the story choose an activity from the table of contents/home page (there are so many adorable animated read aloud versions available on YouTube!). There are 7 activities to choose from: 1. Find, Label, & Match Sensory Bin- 1o storybook vocab pictures to find.- 1 card 2. How Presents are under the tree? Expanding Utterances and counting (see in preview)-10 cards 3. Yes/No Questions- 10 cards 4. Wh/How Questions- 10 cards 5. Put the Christmas Trees in the Truck: 2-step First/then instructions with color concepts, feelings, and shapes (if this level is too difficult, stick to 2-step instructions and omit "first/then or break them up into 1-step")-20 cards 6. Interactive Sorting: Clothes vs. Vehicles. Dress the frog with all of the clothes and put the vehicles in the blue truck. For the clothes, click the zipper for a fun zip sound. If it's a vehicle, click the steering wheel for a fun beeping sound!- 20 cards 7. Decorate the Christmas Tree Open Ended Scene with sentence starters- 1 card *You will know you've reached the end of an activity when you see the stop sign in the right top corner.
