Description: Students whose native language/s don't use the same letters as English have a bigger challenge. Unlike your Spanish speaking students, for example, your Arabic speaking students have an entire alphabet to learn. We like to say we have 26 letters in our alphabet. However, to an ESL student, it's much more like 52 as our uppercase and lowercase letters don't look alike, for the most part. In this deck, students will listen to a letter and then drag and drop its uppercase and lowercase tile to the top of the card. The audio will play automatically, but students can click it to listen again as many times as they want/need. NOTHING is cutesy! I created this for adult learners. While also appropriate for secondary aged students, this will NOT appeal to young learners. Please be sure to examine the font in the playable preview. I used "SpartanMB light". I like this font because it resembles the font you see on most keyboards. Also, take note that I am American. I pronounce the last letter of the alphabet "zee," not "zed". Contact me if you need "zed." Be sure to check out my other alphabet decks created just for adult ESL!
