Description
This is a 33-card scavenger hunt that will teach students about the Cinco de Mayo holiday. While completing the hunt, students will learn what event Cinco de Mayo celebrates, what other Mexican holiday it is often confused with, where it was first celebrated, and more. To complete the hunt, students are presented with a question with some possible answers. Then they read a short passage where the information to answer the question is found. They receive instant feedback on whether or not they chose the correct answer. The final card in the deck challenges students to write 3 interesting things they learned from the hunt. This deck can be used for for Cinco de Mayo, as a supplement to lessons about Mexican culture or history, as a center, to practice reading informational text, or as an easy lesson for a sub.
