Description: Intermediate to advanced French students can learn about the history, traditions, activities and culture associated with le Carnaval de Québec. Practice reading comprehension skills and vocabulary acquisition on this amazing winter cultural event. Students will read the conversation between an employee at the Tourist Office and a tourist; the tourist asks questions about le Carnaval and the tourism expert provides clear and organized answers. There are 7 reading passages. After EACH passage, there are comprehension questions to help guide students in understanding. The questions include multiple choice with words or images, fill-in, and vrai/faux. There is a total of 23 questions. Students will see mostly present tense and some future and conditional. There are a couple object pronouns (Je veux le rencontrer).
